London Vintage Fairs & Events

London is known for it’s multitude of pop-up vintage fairs and markets – town halls, churches and pubs are regularly transformed into vintage treasure-troves. The city’s nightlife is also embracing the trend, with retro-inspired club nights becoming increasingly popular.

POP UP VINTAGE FAIR

Always atmospheric and really well put-together, Pop Up offers a great range of vintage goodies at decent prices – I always leave satisfied! Check out my review of their February fair. Stallholders often feature homeware as well as fashion. If you’ve never been, don’t miss out!

NORTH LONDON VINTAGE MARKET

As pretty much all my friends have moved to Crouch End in recent months, I am pretty sure that the North London Vintage Market is very much the place to be right now. This month their market features gorgeous vintage collectables, homewares, curiosities and more – why not revamp your home with affordable one off and unique items? There’s also clothing, jewellery and accessory dealers if vintage fashion is more your thing.

LOST IN VINTAGE

This fair brings together two of my favourite pastimes: vintage shopping and the pub! Held at the Old Queen’s Head, 44 Essex Road, Islington (N1 8LN) there’s a selection of fabulous fashion stalls sell anything from Fifties frocks through to Eighties chic, cool accessories, hand-made prints and retro homeware. There’s also mouthwatering cupcakes and classic cocktails to shopalong with, plus retro DJ sets. Right up my street! Entry is free so why not pop in between midday and 5pm…

JUDY’S AT SPITALFIELDS

The wonderful folk at Judy’s Affordable Fashion Fair have joined up with Spitalfields Market. A whole heap of Judy’s creative and affordable stallholders will be there on the 3rd March from 11am until 5pm… Entry is free and Judy’s stallholders always provide a tantalising range of fabulous vintage at great prices, so you really can indulge without the usual guilty feelings!

VINTAGE ROOM FASHION FAIR

This sparkly new fair is well worth venturing down South for… held in the beautiful Market House in Kingston Upon Thames, it features an amazing selection of affordable women’s and men’s clothing and accessories from 1920′s–1980′s. There’s plenty of other lovely goodies as well: jewellery traders, handmade crafts, a lovely vintage tearoom and a vintage beauty parlour. Entry is free, so just head down to Kingston Market Place,  (KT1 1JS). between 11am and 4pm.

THE VINTAGE EVENT

Held at my favourite Balham drinking establishment, the Balham Bowls Club, this vintage fashion and lifestyle fair features a handpicked selection of the very best London vintage traders. There’s live music, a gin & tea room, a vintage beauty parlour and then of course there’s the full bar and food served all day… Head to 7-9 Ramsden Road, Balham, SW12 8QX from midday until 6pm.

BRIXTON RETRO MARKET

A Brixton highlight, this retro and vintage market features new & used retro & vintage clothing, books, records and furnishings, tea & cake, live music and maybe even some dancing! Can’t go wrong really… Just head to Brixton Station Road for a Saturday stroll.

LONDON VINTAGE FASHION FAIR

The largest fair of its kind, this Hammersmith institution features over one hundred leading vintage fashion clothing dealers from all over the UK and abroad. They offer for sale an array of vintage clothing, handbags, linen, lace, embroidery, shoes, hats, gowns, chiffons, beaded dresses, textiles, needle work, gloves, trimmings, fashion magazines, costume jewellery, buttons feathers boas, compacts, combs, fans… anything your vintage head could dream up really!

ANITA’S VINTAGE FASHION FAIR

Anita’s fairs have become a one-stop haven for the season’s entire Vintage needs and investment buys, offering the crème de la crème of vintage fashion, jewellery, accessories and textiles. Moves between Battersea and Notting Hill.

PRIMROSE HILL VINTAGE FASHION FAIR

This lovely vintage fair in Primrose Hill invites to spend a leisurely Sunday browsing and buying from the many stalls stocking vintage clothing, hats, handbags, gloves, shoes, jewellery and textiles. There’s wearable vintage pieces at affordable prices and also designer labels if you are looking for something extra special. Entry is just £3.

CAN’T BUY ME LOVE

Held at the fabulous Boogaloo, Muswell Hill, Can’t Buy Me Love is a vintage market and jumble sale combined. Hailed as ‘one of the funnest way to shop’ by none other than Time Out, they aim to mix quality affordable vintage clothes and bric-a-brac as well as proper jumble, so you can always find a 50p bargain or buy a special antique. There’s DJ’s and cakes too! Starts around 12.30pm and runs til 5.30pm…
